Donut Foam Fender
Donut foam fenders are an effective solution for simple berthing dolphins, guiding and turning structures. The buoyant Donut floats up and down a single tubular pile and freely rotates to help align or redirect ships. The internal casing has long-lasting, low-friction bearings which need minimal maintenance. The foam is unsinkable and cannot burst or deflate. The Donut skin is durable polyurethane reinforced with continuous nylon filaments.
Evergreen Donut Fenders can be custom designed for applications, such as supplementary buoyancy to present a raised contact face, rubbing strips and vivid colors are all optional.
Donut Fender Characteristics
- Proportional load deflection curve
- Low shear forces
- Self-adjusting to changing water levels
- Generally maintenance free
- Individual drafts can be controlled by counterweights
Donut Fender Applications
Corner protection, turning dolphins and bridge protections
- Mono pile structures
- Submarine jetties
